Privacy Policy
This policy describes how Voqio collects, uses, discloses, and protects information across the public BYOK experience, private beta, contact forms, and owner dashboard. We do not sell personal information. We do not place API keys in analytics. Public transcript sharing is optional. Private-beta monitoring is clearly disclosed before access.
1. Information we collect
Information you provide
We collect prompts, interventions, model outputs, API connection information, contact-form details, advertising inquiries, and communications you choose to submit. Contact forms may include name, email, organization, subject, message, budget, and timeline.
Accounts and hosted credits
When you sign in, we receive your account email and display name from the authentication service. We store your member role, most recent activity time, credit balance, trial eligibility, credit transactions, conversation history, hosted-session topic, selected mode, round count, progress, sharing status, and refund status to provide the service, synchronize saved conversations, show the owner how many registered members were active in the last five minutes, create revocable conversation links at your direction, prevent duplicate grants, maintain account records, and resolve support or abuse issues. The owner dashboard displays this recent activity status; Voqio does not publish it on public member profiles.
Public BYOK use
Provider keys are stored in secure, HttpOnly cookies for a limited period and are sent only to server-side provider connection endpoints needed to make your request. Keys are not included in Voqio analytics. When you are signed out, saved public conversations remain in that browser. When you are signed in, saved conversations are associated with your Voqio account so they can be restored on future visits.
Private beta
The hosted private beta records tester identity, prompts, interventions, responses, models, timing, token estimates, and technical events. These records are visible in the private owner dashboard for research, support, safety, and abuse prevention and are used to restore a tester's recent history.
Device and account storage
Theme, consent, welcome, privacy preferences, and a local copy of conversation history may be stored in your browser. Five public conversation slots are included; signed-in users may spend credits to increase their account history capacity by 10 slots at a time. Deleting a signed-in conversation removes its account copy. Private-beta history limits and retention may differ.
Operational information
We collect service events such as model used, mode, round, live/simulated status, response time, approximate token usage, response length, and error type. Hosting and security infrastructure may also process IP address, device, browser, request, and log data.
Consent records
Optional data-use and publication choices are recorded with their displayed consent version, source, and time so Voqio can honor the exact permission granted. Operational measurements remain separate from permission to store transcript text or publish a conversation.
Direct messages and feedback
Member messages are stored with sender and recipient account identifiers, delivery time, read time, reporting status, and each participant's personal deletion state so Voqio can deliver and secure the conversation. Message text is checked by an automated language filter before delivery. A recipient may report a message for owner review; the filter and reporting system are safety aids and cannot detect every harmful message. Session ratings and optional feedback comments are stored with the related session and operational measurements to evaluate response quality and reliability.
Profiles, newsletters, and community submissions
Member profiles are private by default. If you choose to publish a profile, your display name, biography, location, website, and owner-approved submissions may be publicly visible and indexed by search engines; your account email is never displayed. Newsletter enrollment requires an unchecked, affirmative opt-in and can be withdrawn from My Account at any time. In the monitored private beta, anonymous publication review is selected by default and clearly disclosed beside the Start button; testers may uncheck it before starting or withdraw any saved conversation from review later. Each account conversation still requires a separate submission action. Nothing is published unless the owner approves it, and publication never displays the tester’s name or email.
2. How we use information
We use information to provide AI conversations and member messages; connect requested providers; save preferences; operate private-beta limits; display conversation history and optional profiles; manage newsletter subscriptions and community submissions; respond to inquiries; evaluate advertising opportunities; measure reliability, feedback, and trends; detect abuse; secure and debug the service; enforce our terms; and comply with law.
3. How information is disclosed
We disclose prompt content and context to the AI provider selected for a turn. When you create a private share link, anyone who receives that unlisted link can read the associated conversation until you revoke the link or delete the conversation. We may use hosting, database, authentication, security, and infrastructure vendors as service providers. We may disclose information when required by law, to protect rights and safety, during a business transaction, or with your direction. Advertisers do not receive conversation content or API keys merely by advertising with Voqio.
4. Third-party AI providers
OpenAI, xAI, Anthropic, and Google process requests under their own terms and privacy policies. Their retention and training controls may depend on the product, account, and API settings you use. Review provider policies before submitting confidential or regulated information.
5. Cookies and similar storage
We use essential cookies and browser storage for security, API connections, private-beta access, consent, preferences, and saved history. Optional analytics choices are presented on first visit. See the Cookie & Storage Policy.
6. Retention
We retain information only as reasonably necessary for the purposes described, security, dispute resolution, and legal obligations. Browser history remains until deleted by the user or cleared with site data. Contact messages, direct messages, reports, feedback, and private-beta records remain until deleted or no longer operationally necessary. Removing a direct message from your own view does not necessarily erase the other participant's copy or a safety report. Provider retention is controlled by each provider.
7. Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, including encrypted transport, restricted owner-dashboard access, HttpOnly key storage, input limits, and separation of public and owner functions. No system is completely secure, and you should not submit secrets, credentials, or highly sensitive information.
8. Your choices and rights
You may choose essential-only storage, decline public transcript sharing, change your read-aloud voice preference, delete browser-saved conversations, disconnect provider keys, clear site data, or stop using Voqio. Signed-in members have their selected voice identifier saved with their account; visitors store it only in their browser. Speech playback normally uses the browser or device voice engine. When device speech is unavailable on a public archived example, Voqio may send only that already-published response text and the selected cloud-voice name to OpenAI's speech API to create an audio file. A one-way hash of the network address is retained in operational events to enforce an hourly limit; Voqio does not store the raw address in that event. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to know, access, correct, delete, restrict, object, withdraw consent, or receive a portable copy of personal information, and to appeal or complain to a regulator. Submit a privacy request through the Contact page. We may verify identity before completing a request.
9. California disclosures
Voqio does not sell personal information and does not currently share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. Categories processed may include identifiers, internet or network activity, commercial inquiry information, and user-provided content. California residents may request access, correction, or deletion and may exercise applicable rights without discriminatory treatment. We honor legally required browser-based opt-out signals when applicable.
10. Children
Voqio is not directed to children under 13, and the service requires users to be at least 18 or the age of legal majority. We do not knowingly collect children’s personal information. Contact us if you believe a child submitted information.
11. International use
Information may be processed in the United States and other locations where providers operate. Data-protection laws may differ from those in your jurisdiction. Where required, we rely on an appropriate lawful basis and transfer mechanism.
12. Changes and contact
We may update this policy as Voqio evolves and will revise the effective date. Privacy questions and rights requests can be submitted through our Contact page. This provides a private channel without publishing the owner’s personal email address.
